The same valuation, sealed as evidence somebody else can rely on

A number you produced yourself is an opening position. A number sealed by an independent third party is evidence. Pro is the difference between the two.

The valuation is the same one Starter delivers: the same seven technical dimensions, the same Production Readiness Score, the same Technical and Economic Valuation. What Pro adds is the thing that makes it usable outside your own organisation, an Evidence Certificate issued by a Trusted Third Party.

The report

What you receive.

Everything in Starter: the Production Readiness Score from 0 to 100 with its band, the breakdown across Security, Code Quality, Dependencies, Documentation, Observability, Test Coverage and Error Handling, the findings behind each one, and the Technical and Economic Valuation with its rebuild range.

Then the seal. The report and the evidence supporting it are preserved by an accredited provider in a qualified digital preservation vault, and you receive an Evidence Certificate. The certificate gives the valuation a verifiable time stamp and an auditable chain of custody, so a partner, an acquirer or a reviewer can confirm two things without taking your word for either: that the figures were produced independently, and that nothing has been altered since.

The seal

Why the seal is the product.

An investor discounts your valuation not because they think you are being dishonest, but because you are the interested party. No buyer accepts the seller’s valuation of the seller’s own asset at face value, in any asset class. That discount is priced into every conversation you have about your software.

The seal removes the reason for it. The figure stops being a claim you are making and becomes a document with a date, an issuer and a trail, which is the form in which numbers are accepted in financial and legal proceedings.

How custody works

Fit

When to choose Pro.

When the report leaves the building. A data room. A partner or client who needs assurance about what you delivered. Light due diligence where the report has to stand on its own without a specialist reading it line by line. Any conversation where the other side’s first instinct is to discount your number.

Limits

When Pro is not enough.

Pro and Expert differ in how the economic figure is produced, not in whether the analysis is reproducible. Every tier is reproducible, by construction. On Pro, the economic range is an AI-assisted estimate, calibrated against the evidence in your code but not computed in code. On Expert, it comes out of a deterministic formula, with evidence-backed floors that credit strong engineering rather than averaging it away, and a full audit trail recording every factor that moved the number.

Expert is not a larger Pro. Pro makes the figure trustworthy: independent, sealed, dated. Expert makes it examinable: every figure traceable to a measured metric or a bounded signal. Expert includes the seal too, and lets you decide on each analysis whether to apply it. If your number is going to be attacked rather than read, that is Expert.

Best for: sharing with investors, partners or clients, and for light due diligence where the report needs to stand on its own.

Frequently asked questions.

A document issued by a Trusted Third Party confirming that a specific report was produced on a specific date and has not been modified since. The report and the evidence behind it are held in a qualified digital preservation vault operated by an accredited provider, which is what makes the time stamp and the chain of custody verifiable by anyone, not just by us.

They are not consecutive steps, which is the part most comparisons get wrong. Pro seals the valuation. Expert changes how the valuation is produced.

Pro is Starter with qualified custody switched on: our AI-assisted economic estimate, certified and sealed on every report, proportionate for light due diligence. Expert changes how the economic figure is produced (a deterministic formula in code instead of an estimate), adds a factor by factor audit trail, applies evidence-backed floors, and lets you select the compliance and analysis frameworks the report is expressed against. Expert includes custody too, with one difference: there you decide on each analysis whether to seal.

Choose Pro when the report needs to be trusted. Choose Expert when it needs to be defended.

No. Qualified custody is what Pro is. It is included by default and cannot be removed: a Pro valuation without the seal would simply be a Starter valuation.

TrustCloud, a Qualified Trust Service Provider listed on the EU Trusted List. The report and its supporting evidence are sealed in TrustCloud's qualified digital preservation vault, and the Evidence Certificate is issued through them.

Every provider that touches your data is named on our sub-processors page, TrustCloud among them. An accredited provider we would not name is an adjective, not a fact you can check.

Yes. The Evidence Certificate is sealed by a Qualified Trust Service Provider listed on the EU Trusted List, so the seal, the timestamp and the long-term preservation are qualified under eIDAS. That is what gives the file its standing: it is admissible across the EU, and its integrity can be verified independently of us, by anyone, at any point in the future.

No, and that is deliberate. The read is identical on every tier: the same engine, the same seven dimensions, the same evidence. Depth is not what you are buying when you move up. Defensibility is.

Yes. The report is yours, and the certificate travels with it. Anyone you send it to can verify the time stamp and the chain of custody independently.
